\r\nBefore applying, wash your hands thoroughly. Tilt your head back and gently pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket. Squeeze a small amount of ointment (approximately a half-inch ribbon) into the conjunctival sac. Close your eye and roll it around to spread the medication evenly. Avoid touching the tip of the tube to any surface to prevent contamination.<\/p>
\r\nUse with caution in patients receiving other drugs with neuromuscular blocking agents or ototoxic medications. Prolonged use may result in overgrowth of nonsusceptible organisms and fungi.<\/p>
\r\nGentob 3GM is contraindicated in patients with a known hypersensitivity to Gentamicin or any component of the formulation.<\/p>\r\n
\r\nPregnancy Category C. There are no adequate and well-controlled studies in pregnant women. This drug should only be used during pregnancy if the potential benefit justifies the potential risk to the fetus. Gentamicin may be excreted into human milk. A decision should be made whether to discontinue nursing or to discontinue the drug.<\/p>
