SIGTIL 50 MG is indicated for the treatment of major depressive disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, panic disorder, social anxiety disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).

Pharmacology:
SIGTIL contains Sertraline, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI) that increases serotonin levels in the brain by blocking its reabsorption, improving mood and anxiety symptoms.

Dosage:
Initial dose is usually 50 mg once daily, which may be adjusted by the physician depending on patient response, up to a maximum of 200 mg daily.

Administration:
Take orally, with or without food. Tablets should be swallowed whole.

Interaction:
May interact with MAO inhibitors, other SSRIs, anticoagulants, and certain antipsychotics. Always inform your healthcare provider about all medications.

Contraindications:
Contraindicated in patients taking MAO inhibitors or those with hypersensitivity to Sertraline.

Side Effects:
Common side effects include nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, dizziness, insomnia, and sexual dysfunction. Serious side effects are rare but may include serotonin syndrome.

Pregnancy & Lactation:
Use during pregnancy only if clearly needed and prescribed. Sertraline is excreted in breast milk; consult your doctor before use during breastfeeding.
